Abstract

At a time when the greatness of the West was being glorified in the countries of East. Swami Vivekananda astonished and amazed the world by presenting proof of the greatness of the East to the west.  Swami Vivekananda was a great proponent of Indian philosophy, culture, and education. He believed that the purpose of education is not merely intellectual development, but the development of character, inner strength, moral values, and spiritual consciousness. The present research paper examines the concept of value-based education as propounded by Swami Vivekananda in the context of the development of youth power. In the contemporary era, the younger generation is confronting challenges such a situation. Vivekanand ’s educational philosophy Can play a significant role in making youth self-reliant, empowered, and nation-building. This study highlights the contemporary relevance of Swami Vivekananda’s educational thought.
